FCCU Staff Celebrate Anniversary and Retirement
03/03/2020
We are proud to recognize two employees for important milestones in their careers with FCCU. Candace Bader, Branch Manager in Wishek, recently celebrated her 25th anniversary with the Credit Union. Sharon Dunaway, Member Services Representative in Jamestown, has announced her retirement after 23 years of service to FCCU. Please join us in congratulating Candace and Sharon!
Candace joined FCCU on February 6, 1995 as a Member Service Representative. She was promoted to Team Lead, Financial Service Representative, and Financial Service Officer before her recent promotion to Branch Manager. Candace will continue to manage her retail loan portfolio, provide quality service to members and manage staff in the branch.
Candace says one of the biggest changes since her start is with technology advances over the years. Another is the growth of FCCU. Wishek was the ninth location 25 years ago. Now with 28 FCCU locations, she is glad to be a part of this exciting time. When asked what she’s enjoyed the most while working for FCCU, Candace replied, “Helping our members on a daily basis with their financials needs.” She goes on to say, “Working with my co-workers has also been one of the best things; we have a great team in Wishek!”
With more than 23 years of service to Credit Union members, Sharon will retire on April 3. She began working at FCCU in December, 1993. In 2007, she resigned her position only to return to FCCU in 2011 as a Member Services Representative, where she continues to serve members.
Sharon remembers her first day at FCCU well; it happened to fall on a date when many people received their social security checks and the drive-up lanes were full of cars and people with deposits. When reflecting on her years, Sharon recalls many changes in transaction processes over time as technology progressed.
When asked what she will miss most, Sharon responded, “The people. I have met a lot of wonderful co-workers and FCCU members, many have become like family. I know about their kids, vacations and most everything else in between!”
In recognition of her retirement, an open house will be held at a later date.
